#LGBTQ? (a.k.a. #LGBTQ+ or #LGBTQQiP2SAA @KnowingBetterYT) @OKGazette @OKCpridefest #PrideMonth #PrideWeek @DiffBW

I see the 'hubbub' around what the LGBT+ community calls "Pride Month"–something about 'the anniversary of a bunch of riots that started at a bar called Stonewall?' (I will 'look it up' & -do link to it there, but I think that particular event was merely one of a series of events that cause their community "pride.")

I ask 'What are they "proud" of?' ... their 'being homosexual (or -some other atypical preference) and conquest over "society's prejudice against such a lifestyle"?'

I guess this is why 'they' insist on believing the myth that they were "born this way"—like 'people of a differently-colored skin' or 'people with birth-defects or -chronic disabilities,' they "pride themselves" on 'carrying such a burden' and living a happy life in spite of it.
... but Those initials (linked- & further described-below)—I felt like there might be something more to that ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which this whole mis-/re-understanding builds ...

The initials “LGBTQQIP2SAA” stand for Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Trans (Trans-Gender, not -sexual---I keep forgetting the difference), Questioning, Queer, Intersex (Hermaphrodite), Pansexual (attracted to males, females AND Hermaphrodites),
"... Two-Spirit (Native-American inspired term for 'anybody who doesn't conform to the gender-binary'), and the A's can stand for 'any number of things' (AndrogynousAsexualAromantic, AlliesAnyAtypical (or any other word with the 'A-' prefix attached—usually meaning "Not-"))."

I might consider myself an "Ally" (or do you spell it 'Allie'? either way, it looks like it's pronounced "al-LEE" when it's actually pronounced "al-LYE")–I even helped the OKC PRIDE parade one year (with a church-group I was in). But their 'hijack' of the rainbow makes me mad.

I suppose the rainbow is good symbolism for the community's 'acceptance of a large range of lifestyles' ...  but (Oklahoma Gazette's repeated feature of the 'Rainbow Flagged'-community makes me wonder) Why aren't Straight (Heterosexual)- and Cisgender-lifestyles considered 'colors in the rainbow?'
