The #Blogrum: What I (and apparently @ElonMusk, according to @MASHABLE) would like #Twitter to Be | @TwitterWrite

... hmm ...

The word “Blogrum” is a portmanteau (which I'm coining right here ... I guess) of the words Blog & #Forum.
The word "Forum" is built on ancient words that mean “Doorway” (Public Place of Assembly Outdoors in ancient Rome's Marketplace).

To Keep Up on My 'Research,'

When I joined Twitter (back in 'the early days of the Internet' ... not when it was 'hacking your phone-line into your computer in the radio-shack in your mother's basement'😆, but when it was just becoming popular---transforming from 'a nerd thing' to 'a method of communication'),

it was basically 'a nationwide (worldwide? maybe) bulletin-board where you could post a little note (maybe about work you had posted somewhere, maybe date-&-time for a performance (whether you're performing or just attending), or maybe just a note to wish others a good day).

And those 'others' included your friends, coworkers, family, classmates; AND celebrities whose performances you enjoy, -whose work you have some criticism on! That's what I liked about it ... that there was a chance that the superstars I adore could find some praise & guidance from me!

But back when I started, there was a 140 character limit (or maybe less). Recently, they boosted that to 280 characters (4,000 for subscribers). And now (for subscribers) they're boosting it to 10,000! Which--I suspect--will be met with a re-emergence of the Twitter-meme, "I ain't reading all that!"

My New Mantra (one of several)

I really enjoy sharing my unique perspectives and I'm thankful to you for liking this enough to subscribe (FOR FREE) to get alerts when I post something new and -to comment below (to tell me how crazy or -ingenious or -foolish or -enlightening-etc. my writing is).
