#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #December27 #BirthdayCohort with #TimotheeChalamet @RealChalamet & @MasiOka & ALL the #FamousBirthdays @Bing lists) on #NationalFruitcakeDay | @HolidaysCalendr @NationWorldNews @BirthdayMates @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &/or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Holidays Calendar explains our celebration (of the "dessert" with the infamously long #ShelfLife) in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The Shelf-life is the length of time for which a product may be stored on the #Shelf before its Sales-Life is over (and--while it can probably still be eaten for a little while--it can't honestly be sold).
The word "Shelf (& #Shelves #Shelve #Shelving #OnTheShelf #OffTheShelf #Shelfy #Shelved) built on ancient words that mean |Split (a 'Split' Piece of Wood), Cut (influenced by words that mean |Ledge of Rock, Sandbank, Grassy Slope).

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

This Day's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Capricorn ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Timothée Chalamet, Cokie Roberts, Chyna (Joan Marie Laurer), Bill Goldberg, Louis Pasteur, Johannes Kepler, Gérard Depardieu, Masi Oka (Hiro on HEROES)

... and many others (most of whom are at the 'Birthday-Cohort' link)---

you might comment telling why we should recognize a special one I missed ...

Or maybe you'd like a reminder of 'where you've seen one of the ones we DO mention'; Ask in your comment!

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating St. John (Apostle & Evangelist), with the clergy wearing White Vestments for the Feast
