#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #October11 #BirthdayCohort with #CardiB @iamcardib & #ArtieLange @ArtieQUITTER & ... You?) on #GeneralPulaski Day | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates #TheFamousPeople @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Wikipedia explains General #Pulaski & his contribution to American life in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

General Casimir Pulaski is credited as one of the Fathers of the American |Cavalry.
The surname “Pulaski” is a habitational name for a family from the |Pulazie of |Poland's Łomża Voivodeship.

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Libra ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Michelle Tractenburg, Daryl Hall (of Hall & Oates), Thich Nhat Hanh, Tazz, Henry J. Heinz, Belcalis Almanzar (better known as rapper Cardi B), Luke Perry, Joan Cusack, Jane Krakowski (we met her as Ally McBeal's co-worker, saw her more recently as Liz Lemon's co-worker in 30 ROCK ... a typecast?), Eleanor Roosevelt, Fred Trump, Artie Lange, Claudia Black (Vala Mal Doran (one of Daniel's alien-girlfriends?) in STARGATE SG-1), Nat Faxon (Ben Fox in Ben & Kate), choreographer Jerome Robbins (WEST SIDE STORY, et al.) ...

(and--if you or someone you know about has a birthday today
--please mention them (and how you know them or -know
about them) in the comments, thanks)

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating Saint John XXIII, with the clergy wearing White Vestments for the Optional Memorial (Green Vestments otherwise)
