What I show here is 'the group of words' that couch "that word" into your vocabulary ... deeper meanings that 'firm the foundations' upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Thetan” is L. Ron Hubbard's word for Man's Spirit-Being---like the Soul, but LRH wanted a word more specifically suited to it (whereas 'Soul' has taken on too many meanings & is too general a term).
LRH chose a word derived from the Greek #Theta, and--tho Scientology says it's a symbol for Thought or Life--my sources tell me Greek jurors would write it on a jury-ballot to indicate a vote for a Death-sentence.
