#Debunking @RobertJeffress (I don't #Debunk 'Him Specifically,' but I realized something while watching his #PathwayToVictory-sermons @FirstDallas) | #BunkBeds

Well, 'what I realized' is discussed at the forum linked-to through "that word."

What I show here is 'the group of words' that couch "that word" into your vocabulary ... deeper meanings that 'firm the foundations' upon which our lexicon stands ...

The word “Debunk” is built of |De- + #Bunk.

The word "Bunk" is built on 'ancient' (well, 'early American') words that mean Nonsense (short for #Bunkum, a phonetic spelling of |Buncombe (a county in North |Carolina).

(... The story is that--during the House's Debates over Missouri's proposed Statehood--Buncombe's Representative went into a long-winded speech which openly admitted he was not so-much to 'convince fellow Representatives' or even to 'filibuster the session,' but to convince Buncombians that he was doing his job. ("I shall not be speaking to the House," he confessed, "but to Buncombe."))

The word "Bunk" (referring to 'the |Bed') is an abbreviation of |Bunker (in the sense of |Seat).
