Cowboys' Jeans were named after Fabric-Maker who was named after a Founding Father of Jews? | @Thrillist #Levi #LeviStraussAndCompany
The jeans (it's said there's a 75% chance you're wearing a pair of them right now) were invented by someone else, but were financed (and partly created) by Levi (born Löb/Loeb) Strauss. (The other guy conceived-of preventing wear-&-tear by adding copper rivets to the pockets.)
'That name' (below-hyperlinked to your invitation to a club that'll bring you prosperity & cash-back on a lot of your shopping) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Levi” is built on ancient words that mean "|Joined, Attached" (third son of Jacob/Israel & |Leah, Levi (לוי) was the father of the Priestly Tribe of the Twelve Tribes of Ancient Jews).
(and ... I can't seem to find exactly how that's related to 'Loeb'—maybe the two names are similar in Hebrew (לוב).)
Know anything else interesting about that? Comment!
