@BillMaher: He Thinks Religion is #Deluded, but buys right into the #Delusion that "Money" is 'Something Real!' @realDonaldTrump #Delude #Deluded #Deluding #Delusions #Delusional

In a recent Real Time with Bill Maher, Bill asks Speaker-of-The-House Nancy Pelosi 'if we will have enough money to enact another reparation-bill if COVID-19 re-surges in the fall.'

I suppose he's simplifying something 'more complex than it seems' there–with all money being 'a form of debt,' he's actually asking 'can the government dole out all the cash we need without creating a debt-load too heavy for all the future generations to ever hope to repay?'–but the metaphor he used to describe the problem was a little too 'realistic' to make me think he was talking about "debt speculation" or something imaginary like that.

He said "Congress holds the purse-strings, and the purse is almost empty." ...

Does he think there's 'a bank-vault' in Washington, D.C. where legislators go to make sure 'there's enough money' before they decide to spend umpteen-bajillion dollars on some government-action

That brings to mind the word "|Delusion|," built on ancient words that mean "Down, to one's |Detriment (|De-) + to Play (Ludicrous ... LUDO?)."

Are you proceeding along your life's path as if it's "the right one for you"? That's hard to consider ... you probably answered that (at-least subconsciously), "Of course I am, because of course it is (the right path)."

And I don't want to 'accuse' you of "being on one of the many-many-many wrong paths"; but ... it's very comforting to think there's a simple plan clearly laid out before you—that you follow 'Step A, -B, -C, -etc.' and you'll live a life of happy peace.

had such a 'plan,' then something traumatic happened. Something that put me on a different course—oh, it's peaceful; but it feels "wrong" if you compare it to 'the paths of the plans most people have' (Go to School, Get a Job, Work-Work-Work (as you build your family), Retire ... or however others' lives usually go).

Personally, I delude myself into thinking I'm doing the right thing. That–as an incredible human-being who is very similar to 'Gandalf' (I know we should all want to "be like Jesus," but (please forgive me) 'Gandalf' was the first figure that came to mind)–I deserve the reverence you'd give to 'your boss' while I'm living the restful life I'm living.

The possibility that I'm deluded: It comes about when I'm asked "if I can spend 8 hours a day 'fulfilling a task-list.'" Theoretically, I could; but actually, "I Don't Want to!" (I suppose nobody 'wants to'–one reason why people "get paid" to do such a thing, to don The Masks Y`all Wear to hide your restlessness–but I guess my mask isn't as unbreakable as yours).

Back to 'the idea that a majority of people are deluded' (one of the tactics of delusion—distract people into thinking they actually know what they're doing, and stay on that topic instead 😉) ... I'm reminded of something we talk about in Support-Group—'one little thing can totally change the course of your life!'

For instance, myself: I was still a young teenager (14; as opposed to an 'old' (17-19) teenager), but I was "set"—I was a 'virtuoso' violinist, a really smart kid (taking lots of sophomore classes in my freshman year of high-school, a member of the school-district's 'gifted & talented'-program), a fast-fast runner, and a the only freshman snare-drummer in our marching-band's drumline ... so I obviously thought I was headed somewhere good.

Then came the brain-injury. Threw my life off that track. You could say it gives me 'a freedom' not held by those of you who are locked into a track (one I'm sure you "chose" and can probably "switch off-of anytime you want"), but there's 'a loyalty to fellow track-adherents' that isn't often given to 'trackless trains.'

This is where I feel a little sympathy for Donald J. Trump (whom I'm still reluctant to call "President")—he wasn't 'on the political track' (which usually requires one to be a Congressman (Senator/Representative) or a Governor beforehand) ...

the main difference I see is that–when he's at the podium and he says "we" will do something or want something–you never feel like the 'we' he's talking-about is "The American People or -Soldiers or even -Government!"

You feel like he's talking about his business or 'himself' ("the Royal 'We'").

Oh, he was on a track; the property-management track and/or the entertainment-track (a couple of tracks it's very easy to switch-between). The 'politics'-track (at least 'politics' the way it is today ... more about 'the popular decisions' than 'the best decisions') probably didn't seem like that much of a "track-jump" for him.

But 'people who've been on the politics-track all their lives'  feel like Trump's train doesn't belong on their track! And–like my train on the 'standard earner'-track–there are oddities about that track that Trump's train isn't built-for (that the politics-trains either were built-for or have gotten used-to)!

A test I took:

I took that test, and...
I got: Mr. Perspective

You see both sides of all situations before forming a conclusion of your own, you base your beliefs off of simple observations and facts, and come off skeptical to the ignorance of delusional people.

Or am I looking at that wrong (or 'wrongly' 🤓)? Tell
me how-wrong/right I am in the comments below 😁
