#ConspiracyTheory Out of Nowhere: "They're" Hiding this #Danger that will Kill You! @Kaid_at_NRDC #Endangered #Dangerous
Who are "they"? First, it's probably not intentional—they're not 'trying to help this Danger sneak up on you and destroy you,' but they incidentally draw your attention away from This Danger when they distrract you. The conspiracy is one of inaction more than one of action.
The big distraction: Prescription Opioids. I see a few big news-stories (well, mostly one big huge one; and now a more-local PSA "developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention") about 'how addictive and dangerous Prescription Opioids can be' and 'the way the Pharmaceutical Companies SCAM the FDA into approving of the popular poisons!'
A danger that's probably more-widespread than 'the
danger "they" are distracting us-from,' sure; but
'addicts' are far better-off (socially, not medically) than
we survivors of brain-injury!
And yes, the dangers of Prescription Opioids should be "constantly remembered" in the media ... you might think of it as 'Just Say No: The Next Generation' (where licensed doctors who don't know any better than to shill the pharmaceutical giants' popular poison join the "peer-pressure pushers" who try to get you addicted to the product).
But that should be greatly overshadowed by the announcements of people trying to keep us safe from brain-injury!

The word “Danger” carries the scent of “under the Power of a House-Lord (who might not guard you against Pain, Peril, Loss, Risk, Injury).”
The first place Media should 'attack' the epidemic of brain-injury: Professional Sports (especially American Football ... maybe wrestling (both real and fa-- ... really real 😜) is "more violent," but 'American Football' (or 'watching American Football') is a more-popular National Pastime.
Equipment-companies are constantly trying to improve their products (helmets, shoulder- & knee- & elbow- & neck- etc. pads) to keep the game 'fun' while lessening the danger involved, but Media continues to GLORIFY the foolishness of 'risking your health for the purpose of "bringing a football to one end of a stadium more-often than to the other end."'
Blatant STUPIDITY ... all the way to the bank; on account of 'people crowding in to view the media's broadcasts of football-games, meaning that advertisers will pay more money for commercials there' (more money than anti-'brain injury' groups will pay them NOT to glorify the blatant stupidity)!
And then there's the popular conception that 'NFL-stars make huge amounts of money.' And they do; although most of them don't make the many millions-a-year that some earn from their team-owners and/or product-promotions, their average salary is still about 150-times the settlement I get for suffering death*!
That brings up the giant automotive industry—it kills thousands of pedestrians every year, but does the industry express any sorrow? Not so-far! So far, it just blames 'the stupid drivers who cause the deaths' (and then it continues to take their money and to give them more death-machines!)
The industry is so big; I saw a billboard mentioning only this place's first name and the claim that they're "the biggest dealer in Oklahoma," and it's assumed we all know what they're a dealer-of!
Of course I could sit here listing-off the many-many-many things 'the powers that be' are doing to try to destroy you, but I'd rather focus on "what some powers are doing to make your world safer!"
*'the person whom I had spent several years trying to become'—I had to let that person die.

- Famous quarterback/baseball-player Bo Jackson–along with many other former pro-football players–speaks against American Football, and says he won't let his children participate in such self-damage.
- There are several things city-administrators could do to make their streets safer for the pedestrian.
