The word |Taffy| sits at the peak of 'mysterious materials' ... probably related to |Toffee, maybe #Tafia (a |Rum-Like Alcoholic |Liquor distilled from |Molasses (the name is probably a Creole shortening of |Ratafia)) because the Candy might be made from the Syrup skimmed off the |Liquor during distillation.
The name |Taffy| is a Welsh form of the name Davy.
