The #Shiba #Inu (the breed of the dog pictured on the Dogecoin) is named with the Japanese 柴犬 (shibainu).
Searching more-deeply ... The word “Inu” is Japanese for "Dog"
The word “Shiba” is Japanese for "Brushwood" (the terrain where the dog hunted or the color of its coat) or obsolete Japanese meaning "Little."
