#Plunging Deeply (TOO Deeply?) into the CB.click #RabbitHole

You can see 'the mouth of the rabbit-hole I'm spelunking into' through 'the emboldened link(s)' below; but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)

The word |Plunging| is built on ancient words that mean "Lead (the metal ... see Plumb)"---since a Sounding Line or Fishing Net would be #Plunged into the Water when Weighed-down with Lead.
#Plunge #Plunges #Plunger #TakeThePlunge #TakingThePlunge #Plungers #PlungingNeckline

And of course |Rabbit-Hole| is jargon used to refer to a |Bizarre, Confusing or |Nonsensical Situation or Environment, typically one from which it is Difficult to |Extricate oneself (popularly used today when one-'starts into' watching a |Series of Vlogs so that one Puts-off Duties until it's too Late to do them)

... originating from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, where the little girl falls away from reality into 'a |Bizarre, Confusing, |Nonsensical Environment.'

My readers have probably seen that I've been making most of my latest hyperlinks into 'redirects'---not Rick-Rolling, but more like 'adding another page between this one and the one I'm sending you to.'

One of those 'in between'-pages is a chance to get a FREE browser that makes for you while your computer idles, and another one (the only other one I've seen so far) is a CB.click tool for you to use.

I've been using that tool for a few month, but I have questions about it. And now, to set off 'down the rabbit-hole' to see if my questions get answered.

I'm wondering 'what I get for building all these redirects.' (I know I could go & ask them; but 'what you get for building all these redirects' is probably knowledge that should be publicly available.)

The 'rabbit-hole' above (sending you to--while I got to that page by clicking the "About"-link on my CB.click dashboard--seems like 'a sales-page encouraging YOU to join' (and I think it IS-, except the 'sign-up'-buttons lead back to my dashboard instead)) tells me:

It's a "URL Shortener tool from CryptoTab," an "Advanced URL Shortener" that "not only helps you turn long links into short & 'easy-to-remember ones,' but also -helps you make money from it!"

('Easy to remember' like a phone-number, not like most 'easy to remember'-addresses (which you can 'remember' because they are "words" ... and is 'it' "CB.click"? how do I make money from 'it'? I'll scroll-down & find out, but first ...)

The page shows me 'the URL-shortening form,' where I would paste the long URL & click the shorten-button (after choosing either the |Splash- or Direct-"redirection type" and possibly-adjusting the "advanced options) to shorten the link from 'http://blah-blah-blah/blingity/blah-blah-blah' to 'http://cb.click/####'.

I don't know the exact difference between "Splash" & "Direct"---I can guess that it's the option to either 'have an in-between page (with a button linked to the page I'm linking-to)'--the default method (advertising either the CryptoTab Browser or the CB-redirect tool) which is the one I've been using--or to 'have the link go straight to the original URL (after CryptoTab's computer counts it for the informational purposes I'll mention below).'

I'll 'report on' the "advanced options" later; but first, further-down the 'About'-page:

It then lists several of the CB.click's features:
  • a Powerful Dashboard
  • Targeting & Geo - available in the advanced options
  • Easy Monetization - ???
  • URL Password Protection - I dunno; in case I don't want CryptoTab-webmasters to "hack" my codes?
  • Full Data Analysis
  • Quick Withdrawals - something involving my Bitcoin-/Etherium-/etc.-Wallet
    And More ...

So I guess I 'get' a lot of information I could use to direct 'my marketing' better. (Beside the little 'security' I've liked---with people (including myself sometimes) frequently removing the affiliate-I.D. ...
