Make an #impact to Nudge Our Nation back on-course to Racial Equality!

Inspired by the Juneteenth Celebration, Bing finds 'ways that you can aid the fight against inequality';  and I 'journalyze' them in a post you can access through 'the emboldened link(s)' below, but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)

The word “Impact” is built on ancient words that mean "to Fix- or Fasten |Into, -In, -On or -Upon"

Concrete actions you can take

Donate
You can help nonprofits advance equity and justice by donating to support organizations on the front lines, such as Innocence Project, Equal Justice Initiative, and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
Volunteer
If you want to help organizations working toward racial equity, give your time to a nonprofit run by and for BIPOC people. BIPOC-led organizations tend to get fewer funds and fewer volunteers, so giving them your time can really make an impact.
  • Find a nonprofit that could use volunteers
  • More organizations serving BIPOC communities
  • Try the United Way volunteer finder
Join, or organize, a group to register voters and help them get to the polls on election day. Nonprofit VOTE can help you get started and follow the law.
Support Black-owned businesses
Search and discover Black-owned businesses on Official Black Wall Street or The Black Wallet, and find a Black-owned bank or credit union near you.
Take action around the issue of police use of force
Reach out to your mayor and city council and ask your police department to adopt guidelines that protect civil rights.
Vote in every election
Vote in national, state, county, and local elections—even during midterms. Once you've voted, hold your representatives accountable in advocating for equity and racial justice. You can also make sure that future elections are fair and accessible.
  • Find groups that work on policy and initiatives that affect racial equity
  • Learn how redistricting and gerrymandering impact election fairness and representation
  • Educate yourself on voting reforms that impact upcoming elections
