#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #February10 #BirthdayCohort with #StephanieBeatriz @iamStephBeatz & @LauraDern & ALL the #FamousBirthdays @Bing lists) on #NationalUmbrellaDay | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &/or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Holidays Calendar explains some #Umbrella-history in a report linked through 'the hyperlinks' below; but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)

The word “Umbrella (\ #Brolly #Umbrellas)” is built on ancient words that mean |Shade, |Shadow (like in |Umbrage).

I sometimes get a little mind-spark from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that spark from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

This Day's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Aquarius ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Robert Wagner (star of early-80s' Hart to Hart), Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket in THE HUNGER GAMES movies), George Stephanopoulos, Jimmy Durante, Laura Dern, Glenn Beck, Bob Iger, Roberta Flack, Lon Cheney Jr. (not Frankenstein's Igor, but (tho he was in a few 'Frankenstein'-movies) Lennie Small in Of Mice and Men), Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa Diaz in BROOKLY NINE-NINE), film-score composer Jerry Goldsmith,

... and many others (most of whom are at the 'Birthday-Cohort' link)---

you might comment telling why we should recognize a special one I missed ...

Or maybe you'd like a reminder of 'where you've seen one of the ones we DO mention'; Ask in your comment!

My Heart of the Nation calendar (which tells me which celebrations we (Catholics) are celebrating, and which color Vestments the clergy are wearing) tells us that this day's the Memorial of St. Scolastica (with the clergy in White).
