I THOUGHT #Habanero (Habañero) was the hottest pepper, but no! on #January16 ( #internationalHotAndSpicyFoodDay) The KING of #Capsaicin is ... #Cayenne? #CarolinaReaper? #GhostPepper? @PepperHeadLLC tells us about it! @Plyvine confirms | #Capsicum

I haven't even HEARD of most of the peppers that Pepperhead lists on the page linked through 'those words' below; but first I want to understand those word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “Capsaicin (the chemical that makes peppers spicy)” is built on Capsicum (genus of Pepper Plant ... a name built on ancient words that mean Box, Case (based on the Peppers' |Shape)) + a Chemical-Suffix.
The word “Habañero (which actually WAS the hottest from 1994 to 2006)” is built on ancient words that mean "(Chili Pepper) from Havana."
The word “Cayenne (which isn't even in 'the top ten,' but it's popularly used in Just Wilson's Home-Cookin` Kitchen (Heah?))” is also built on ancient words that mean Capsicum (but the word is mistakenly associated with the French form of the name of the town of Guyana (in French Guyana).
