#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #December29 #BirthdayCohort with #JaneLevy @jcolburnlevy & #YvonneElliman @EllimanYvonne & ALL the #FamousBirthdays @Bing lists) on #NationalPepperPotDay | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &/or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Holidays Calendar explains the celebrated #Pepper-Pot Soup in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “Pepper (like #PepperPot #PepperBox #PepperMill #PepperCaster Peppercorn #Peppered #Peppering #PepperInTheNose #Peppermint #Pepperoni #Peppery)” is built on ancient words for the |Dried Berries of the Pepper Plant (and Etymonline doesn't go into 'where they got the word "Pepper,"' but its Latin root is spelled "Piper" 🤔)

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

This Day's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Capricorn ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Mary Tyler Moore, Jon Voight, Ted Danson, President (pro temp) Andrew Johnson, Jude Law, Jane Levy (title role of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist), Yvonne Elliman (Mary Magdalene in the first cast of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR), Danny McBride, Paula Poundstone

... and many others (most of whom are at the 'Birthday-Cohort' link)---

you might comment telling why we should recognize a special one I missed ...

Or maybe you'd like a reminder of 'where you've seen one of the ones we DO mention'; Ask in your comment!

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating St. Thomas Becket, with the clergy wearing White Vestments for the Optional Memorial
