#HappyBirthday to #BobbyLee @BobbyLeeLIVE & #KevinClash @KevinClashROCKS & ... you? (the #September17 #BirthdayCohort) on #MonteCristo Day | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates #TheFamousPeople @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays &or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

DayFinders explains National Monte Cristo Day in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The Monte Cristo is a grilled ham-&-cheese sandwich (similar to the #CroqueMonsieur) inspired by The Count of Monte Cristo (#TheCountOfMonteCristo ... a novel about a French noble who is sent to prison, escape, and returns as the count of the Mediterranean island).
The name “Monte Christo” (formerly #MonsJovis "Mount Jupiter") is built on ancient words that mean "Mountain of Christ."

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Virgo ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Bobby Lee, Bryan Singer, Paula Jones, Paul Benedict, John Ritter, Phil Jackson (coach of the Chicago Bulls), Anne Bancroft, Hank Williams (Sr.), Kyle Chandler (Early Edition), Roddy McDowall, SESAME STREET- & MUPPETS-puppeteer Kevin Clash, Gian-Carlo Coppola (co-producer of his father's The Godfather, and on his way to the top when he died too young in 1986), Scott Hoying (of PENTATONIX), Hon. Warren Earl Burger, Rita Rudner ... and lots more I don't recognize (maybe you do recognize some ... you can find the date at the birthday-cohort link)

(and--if you or someone you know about has a birthday today
--please mention them (and how you know them or -know
about them) in the comments, thanks)

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating Saint Robert Bellarmine, with the clergy wearing White Vestments for the Optional Memorial (and Green Vestments otherwise)
