#HappyBirthday to the #May18 #BirthdayCohort (with #TinaFey (@Stamatina_Fey? OL' Stammy?) & @GeorgeStrait & ... you?) on #internationalMuseumDay @icomOfficiel | @411Holidays @BirthdayMates @FamousBirthdays @YourTango @MySundayMass
I sometimes get a thrill from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday'---maybe focusing on one of these holidays & or event-anniversaries in each entry)?'
That holiday's explanation is linked through 'the emboldened word' below; but I feel it's more important to understand that word better. And I find that you understand words better when you look at the other words at the bases of the words you're thinking-of ...
The word “Museum” is built on ancient words that mean Muse (as there would be much Study of Art & Poetry in the Libraries of the |Temples of the Muses).
Today's Birthday-Cohort
Astrologically, their sign is Taurus (possibly on the cusp with Gemini) ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Tina Fey, George Strait, Pope John Paul II, Perry Como, baseball's Reggie Jackson, Nobel Prize-winning mathematician Bertrand Russell, Miriam Margolyes (Professor Pompona Sprout in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), classic film-producer Frank Capra, Bill Macy (from TV's Maude) ... and lots more I don't recognize (maybe you do recognize some ... you can find the date at the birthday-cohort link)
(and--if you or someone you know about has a birthday today
--please mention them (and how you know them or -know
about them) in the comments, thanks)
And I Wonder What Saints' Day my Heart of the Nation calendar says this is:
Saint John I, with the clergy wearing White Vestments (if not Red for the Optional Memorial)
