Annabelle @LAGurwitch (seen on @BillMaher's show) shares her Advantageous View from the #Cusp of Two Generations | @Nandhini5
The writer talked with Bill Maher about 'the slight difference between "a Baby-Boomer" (like Bill) and "someone on the cusp between Boomer & Gen-X" (like her)' before getting into the subject of her book (how 'seeking mobility' is getting more-&-more difficult).
That book's availability for purchase (with proceeds going to a charity you decide) is linked through 'the main word' below; but I feel it's more important to understand that word better. And I find that you understand words better when you look at the other words at the bases of the words you're thinking-of ...
The word “Cusp” is built on ancient words that mean "Pointed End, Spearhead" ('my sources' call it "the First Entrance of a House in the calculation of an (Astrological) Nativity," if not "one of the Prominences on the Crown of a Tooth" #Cuspid #Tricuspid). #Cusps
I'm 'on the cusp' between Gen-X and the Millennials, I think (the way they keep shifting 'the generation-definitions' ... proof that THE GENERATIONS DON'T ACTUALLY EXIST!)
I'll see if there's a source on 'the current definition of the generations':
chart given on a blog by a Millennial-or-Xennial full of tips about raising Generation Alpha children |
... hmm ... I hadn't heard of "The Interbellum- or Lost- (or--obviously--the Silent-) Generation, I also hadn't heard that 'Gen X' was known as "The Baby Bust," nor that "Xennials" was its own Generation (rather than 'just a cusp of the generations before-&-after it'), nor that they had already decided there's a "Generation-Y, -Z & -'Alpha'."
I guess 'Generation "Alpha"' is yet to be cut up like 'Gen-X/Xennials/Gen-Y' did (you can see how they overlap a little, just like The Lost/Interbellum/Greatest Generations do)
