Inspired by @MARVEL's #CivilRights-message, but TRIGGERED by their Skipping-Over the #Indigenous (the way #KevinFeige @KevFeige's hero-role went straight from The Barbarian Horde to Their Slaves' Heir) | @Looper
'That word' (below-hyperlinked to my inspired/triggered comment on the season/series-finale of FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Indigenous” (like #Indigenously) is built on ancient words that mean "to be Born-, give Birth-, Beget- or Produce Within a Place" (describing a Native-Born Resident). #Indigenous
I can think of a few ways they might 'balance the scales':
- Introduce Sam Wilson's Native American grandfather (or other heritage), possibly leading him to take the name Condor or Eagle or Wren or Hawk or Osprey etc.
- give him a sidekick like The Lone Ranger's Tonto (you might even name him "Kemo Sabe," which could mean Trusty Scout, Faithful Friend, Wrong Brother, Scout Runner, or he who 'Peeks' (Looks-out in Secret))
