CARM claimed that Shepherd's Chapel promotes belief in Modalism (the belief that God is not a Trinity but is only-One being who has presented himself in three 'offices' (Modes) ... tho I'm not sure where CARM gets that—possibly from 'writings Shepherd's Chapel has spread across the Internet,' because I can't find 'Modalism' here).

In that "Answer to Critics," SC's Pastor Arnold Murray names 'the three offices of the Godhead' (YHVH, Yashua, and The Holy Spirit), and mentions Matthew 10:20 & -13:11 (where Jesus tells His disciples that their words (when they answer to defend Him) "won't be their words, but the Holy Spirit speaking through them."

But the Scripture I think most-clearly illustrates the Trinity is Matthew 3:16-17:
As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!”…

'Those words' (below-hyperlinked to CARM's description of the philosophies) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

The word “Modalism” is built on ancient words that mean "to take |Appropriate Measures."
The word “Trinitarianism” is built on ancient words that mean "Three."
