#PresidingPolitics: Why So #Threatened by a #Threat that Doesn't #Threaten? & when does Your Speculation become 'Their #Threatening?' @realDonaldTrump @RepAdamSchiff @BillMaher @KingsThings @joinAnswers @TwitterSafety
Many of the Resisters I follow-on-Twitter ('twallow?') were complaining that Trump was "threatening" Rep. Schiff with a tweet in reaction to Adam's case-making in the impeachment-hearing.
I went ahead and 'joined in the chorus of people "reporting" Trump to Twitter,' but just because one of my favorite Resisters said we should; looking at it, 'the tweet I think they were talking about' was "a threat" the same way 'telling you why to look both ways before you cross the street' is "someone threatening to run-you-over in the street."
The "threatening" tweet:
'That word' (below-hyperlinked to a Washington Examiner article about the real threat to Democracy) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word |Threat| is built on ancient words that mean “to |Push, |Press, |Squeeze” (|Portending to No Good).
I bring that up, because Bill Maher has consistently made a statement that could be seen as a "threat" in exactly the same way. He says ...
... that–if Trump is 'incapacitated by impeachment' or 'voted out
in the upcoming election'–he will not leave peaceably.
As a comedian with freedom-of-speech etc., he can say that. I'm curious why he hasn't supposed somebody will ask, "How are we gonna get him out then?" Well, maybe he has; but he might not say so as that could imply "a threat" the same way that 'has not paid the price, yet' implies a threat.
So what'll happen when Trump is not re-elected? One of several things:
So what'll happen when Trump is not re-elected? One of several things:
- Bill could be wrong, and Trump will go just as peaceably as Obama did before him.
- The Secret Service kidnaps him & drags him to 'his non-Presidential residence' (Mar-a-Lago? Trump Tower NYC?)
- other options I don't even want to mention; not only because they sicken me, but because I do not want to be charged with 'abetting their commission'
Know anything else interesting about that? Comment!
