Well, the GQ ad doesn't specifically mention "marriage"; but it talks about 'grooming,' and I wonder why there's no styling-verb for 'bride-ing.'
That word (the 'built' one below)—there might be something more to that word ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which the our lexicon stands ...
The word “Groom” is built on “to Grow” (Man) or "|Young |Servant (who attends to Horses & |Stables)" (to |Tend, Feed, Care for ... |Ship's |Boy), "|Officer of the English |Royal House," "|Husband-to-be at a |Wedding, Newly Married man (short for |Bridegroom, correlative of |Bride)."
