I Wonder if they Ever Actually Named an Insane-Asylum 'The #Loony Bin' (or was it always just the #Comedy Clubs @LoonyBinOKC @TulsaLoonyBin @LoonyBinLR @LoonyBinWichita)

A thoroughly 'Millennial Researcher,' I look it up at "the best research-source we MRs all know"–Wikipedia–but they redirect "loony bin" to Lunatic Asylum (and don't even mention the etymology of 'loony bin' ... whether any Asylum used the title for itself, or if–as I suspect–the nominative was used in popular literature when writers would discuss Lunatic Asylums with their readers).

... I look in a few more places, and–other than Merriam-
Webster mentioning the term 'loony bin' was first used "in 1919"
(and not being more specific)–all I can find with reference
to 'Loony Bin in Literature' is a mention of Loony Bin Jim

The word “Loony” is built on words that mean “Crazy, |Silly, |Eccentric” (short for #Lunatic, influenced by #Loon).
The word "Lunatic" is built on words that mean "|Moonstruck" (from 'the name of the Goddess of the Moon, an |Alchemical name for |Silver, |Light, |Brightness, and a |Moth with moon-shaped spots on its wings).
The word "Loon" is built on words that mean "Looming (like the |Bird 'the |Great |Northern |Diver')" or on words that mean "|Stupid Person (|Rascal, |Worthless |Boor).

... Oh, and the word "Comedy" is built on words that mean "Revel, Carousal, Merry-making, Festival (Praise (Judgement (Village? probably not))) + Singer, Poet (Ode)."
