I Wonder if The #SignOfTheCross (Christian gesture @Catholicism) is related to The #MarkOfTheBeast and/or The #SealOfGod

It was Ash Wednesday just last week—when Catholics all 'take the mark' on the forehead (usually a cross drawn with ashes).

I hear rumors of 'how that might be The Mark of the Beast.' But I remember reading Scripture about 'others being marked by The Seal of God' or something ... looking for that Scripture, I find an examination of several of those end-times Scriptures that talk about 'being Marked/Sealed' unto eternity ...

This comes up not because I'm afraid my brethren will be "tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb"(Revelation 14:10), but because 'The Sign of the Cross' is a "crucial" step in the Sacrament of Reconciliation ... a sacrament that's one of the reasons I'll always be Catholic (even though my thinking & words & actions have some striking differences with The Church ... sorta like Jesus' thoughts & words & actions had with Judaism, though it's important to JudeoChristian belief that Jesus was-&-is a Jew).
I guess I want to point out the difference between 'The Mark of the Beast' & 'The Seal of God' (and how to tell 'which one The Sign of the Cross is').

TSOG tells us that 'The Seal of God' is something-like 'a habit' (going to church on The Sabbath, etc.), but their focus there turns onto 'how there's only One God, and not Three Gods.' (I agree; I think of "the other two 'gods'" as 'different ways we see Our Father God ... as the cashier & the franchise manager are both equally McDonald's, so The Son & The Holy Spirit are both equally God').

Turning back to 'what the mark is,' they come to the conclusion that 'the mark of the beast' isn't "a visible mark" either ... that it's the exact same type of mark as The Seal of God ... they probably point to 'laws for a Sabbath-day that's not Sabbath.'

'Satan' (or whatever being opposes Our Father) doesn't want to destroy Our Father; not so-much as he wants to be Our Father—he wants us to mistakenly think we are worshiping Our Father when we're actually worshiping him (who's more like 'our great-uncle's disowned cousin').

Satan's name actually is 'God' (well, it's "Gad"–short for "GadReEl" (Wall of God)–the fallen angel who became The Serpent, Lord Baal, etc.; but the real God was known as Elohim).

The Sign of the Cross” (the sign the above government-official makes before the 'thumbs up') 'marks' people as Christian (it's 'traditionally' "Catholic," but I wasn't even inspired to ask if Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi were Catholic until I saw her 'bear the mark' at George H.W. Bush's memorial-service!)—a reminder of 'the burden Our Brother Lord Jesus Christ bore "to pay for our sins" (shortened way of saying "so that all humanity could remember that they owe no debt but that which they choose to owe").'

The one main difference I see between 'the mark of the beast' and 'the seal of God' is 'the immanent danger one risks by not being marked' (inability to buy-or-sell if you don't have the mark of the beast–making people suspect there's a 'mark of the beast' on nations' money–or a sentence of death if you don't have the seal of god (when the angels have finished giving them to God's anointed)).

And I also sense that the mark of the beast is something you have to choose to take, whereas the sign of god is something you get while taking something else—the way you get experience without specifically taking it (or maybe a better comparison is 'getting a sunburn while only taking a nap on the beach)—you go to church or -read your Bible or -pray constantly to take 'peace beyond all understanding' (the satisfaction that comes with "fulfilling your duties as a member of civil society") and heavenly powers seal you as one of Our Father's lineage.
