I know "End" & "Times" are separate words, but I want to go over 'what people mean when they say "End-Times." They're generally referring to a future-time which Christians believe to be foretold by The Bible (mostly in the book of 'Revelation' or 'Apocalypse').

And yes, that is what "Apocalypse" means—'an unveiling.' It's been smeared with all this 'End-of-the-World, Death-&-Destruction'-noise because all-that is a primary feature of the book (of which 'Apocalypse' is the title).

In the book, John the Revelator writes about a dream/waking-vision he had (as he lay dying in exile)—a dream in which Beasts rose out of the Sea & -the Earth and did battle with the disciples of Jesus, who defeated the beasts, sent them & -their followers to 'the pit of fire-&-brimstone' and then lived in bliss forever (or something like that. or not).

As people will always be able to warp 'interpretation of the prophecy' to fit with whatever they see happening in the world, you'll always hear 'people' (mostly televangelists) claiming "we're gettin` closer-n-closer to End-Times."

And–while there will be a lot of people (including me) who will tell you that 'these preachers just want to dupe you into sending them your money and/or -your contact-information so they can ask you for more money'–the words they give you- & the joy that your money brings them-will gain you 'the one thing you're looking-for in all your other pursuits' ...

... not "profits to provide food & shelter & entertainment & safety for yourself & your loved ones," but rather 'peace-of-mind like that which "those other things" bring'—just like you can 'rest-in-peace' at the end of the day because you know your job pays for your housing & sustenance & safety & health (and that of your loved ones), televangelists' supporters can 'rest-in-peace' every night knowing that all their extra money is invested in an eternal account!
