@CBCNews cautions us on the Poisonous #Bliss of the #Fructose/Glucose Concoction - How #SugarIsKillingYou and #SugarMakesYouFat, but @healthline teaches us to put #SweetnessInModeration
CBC News explains sugar's complexity in a video linked through 'those words' below; but first I want to understand those words better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)
The word “Bliss” is built on ancient words that mean |Gentle, Kind (|Blithe ... influenced by- but otherwise unrelated to-Bless). #Blissful #BlissOut
The word “Fructose” is built on ancient words that mean |Fruit + |Chemical (though the suffix is now common for the chemical-names of Sugars).
What has 'Bliss' got to do with 'Fructose'? Well, listening to the video above, I hear that 'Fructose' is 'the poisonous part of the sugar' (that it haunts your liver after your digestive system withdraws the glucose).
And 'Bliss' is a word they use when talking about "The Bliss Point"---the point where you've added 'just enough' sugar to make it taste "right," and it starts to turn "wrong" and get worse & worse the more you add after that.
