The word |Bigots| (people who are obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially if they're prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group)
was originally used for |Sanctimonious Religious Hypocrites, and was derived from Visigothus (|Visigoths?)---a derogatory nickname for Britain's |Normans (although the |Norman names #Bigott & #Bygott etc.--from which the word might be derived-- probably mean "By God").
Others theorize that the word is derived from the Spanish for "|Mustache"---no explanation, though.
just like #Bigot #Bigoted #Bigotry
