I thought the question linked above had more answers than there are there, but I was thinking of 'answers to other questions about space-debris' (e.g. How do we mitigate space-debris? What causes space-debris?)
The word |Debris| sits at the peak of the high tower above ancient words that mean "to Break," which (adding the prefix De-) evolved through ancient words that mean "Crush, Rubbish, Waste, Remains" to today's meaning.
