I mentioned Shmita in a post you can access through 'the emboldened link(s)' below; but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)
The word for Sabbath Year “Shmita (שמיטה)” (or the Sabbatical Year #Sheviit (shǝvi'it שביעית, literally "Seventh"), Wikipedia tells us; and gives notes I'll quote below) literally means "Release" (it's also known as "Sabbath of The Land").
The preaching Pastor mentioned shmita as he would have done last year (when no one could attend, on account of the pandemic), but it turns out that this shmita cycle is coming to a close---with the following 'year' being a Jubilee (or Fiftieth) Year.
