Pastor @KurtWillems verifies that the #Atmosphere in #1Thessalonians4Seventeen (the "Rapture" Scripture) isn't "the Sky" | @Patheos @Facebook
The pastor explains "the falseness of Evangelicals' Rapture-superstition" in a report you can access through 'the emboldened link(s)' below; but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)
The word “Atmosphere” is built on ancient words that mean "Sphere of Vapor, -Steam (see Atmo-)"
#Atmospheric #Mesosphere #Geosphere
The original Greek “ἀήρ” is translated "Air" (to which the Apostle says we'll be "Caught Away to Meet the Lord") & -is built on ancient words that mean "to Breathe, Blow."
ἀήρ, ἀέρος, ὁ aér
I looked-up 'the Rapture LIE' & was sent to Pastor Willems' article when I saw this post on Facebook:
So the evangelists are telling us we are entering the end times. The righteous will be stripped naked and raise up to the heavens. Us heathens are going to witness the 2nd coming. Jesus is going to take on Satan and the earth and all left on it will be destroyed. What the f’@k are they gonna come up with when nothing happens??????? How can anyone possibly believe this shit?
Pastor Willems reminds us that 'the Rapture-preachers' use 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (and a few of its contextual verses) as a spark to light their imaginary way; but the original meanings of the text show that the mentioned 'atmosphere' is actually 'the air we breath today' (and not 'the sky above').
See in the interlinear:
ἔπειτα Then | ἡμεῖς we | οἱ the | ζῶντες living | οἱ - | περιλειπόμενοι remaining,
ἅμα together | σὺν with | αὐτοῖς them, (the dead in Christ who rose) | ἁρπαγησόμεθα will be caught away | ἐν in | νεφέλαις clouds
εἰς for | ἀπάντησιν meeting | τοῦ of the | Κυρίου Lord | εἰς in | ἀέρα air;
καὶ and | οὕτως so | πάντοτε always | σὺν with | Κυρίῳ Lord | ἐσόμεθα we will be. |
