The Way the @GOP Sees It (i imagine): 'Won't "the invisible Hand of the Marketplace" Force @NovoNordisk, #EliLilly @LillyPad & @Sanofi to Lower the Price of #insulin FOR Us?' | @FarronBalanced

A fellow member of a paying forum (which you can access through 'the emboldened word(s)' below) complains that 'Republicans voted against capping the price of insulin); you can go help me remind them about the perils of government-overreach, but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)

The word “Insulin” is built on ancient words that mean |Island (because the hormone is secreted by the |Islets of |Langerhans in the |Pancreas (and then the hormone Converts your Dietary-Sugar into Blood-Sugar (Glucose)); see |Isle, |Insula).

As people are probably going to 'SCREAM'-in-reply (before they even scroll this far down the post ... if they open it at all before 'replying to the title' ☹), 'The Invisible Hand' DOESN'T WORK when there are only 3 companies that produce a given product (PharmacyChecker.com only knew of Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly, and Sanofi)!

When I asked 'how synthetic-insulin is made,' Bing directed me to Doom and Bloom who quoted a description of the process (involving minced beef- or pork-pancreas, sulphuric acid, alcohol, sodium hydroxide, ammonium sulphate, hot acid alcohol, more alcohol, more sodium hydroxide, acid water, more sodium hydroxide, alkaline water, tricresol, more acid water, sodium chloride, a Mandler filter ...)
