The name “Prešeren” is built on ancient words that mean ... it's not clear ... ... there are no entries at definitions.net, but it asks "Do you mean 'press run' or 'preacher man'? that last one ringing with the meanings of a few suggestions from Ancestry; users of PONS suggest it now means "Merry, |Jaunty, |Breezy";

I sometimes get a little mind-spark from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that spark from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...
