#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #January28 #BirthdayCohort with @ElijahWood & #JoeyFatone (with the @JoeyFatoneSTTM) & ALL the #FamousBirthdays @Bing lists) on #NationalKazooDay | @HolidaysCalendr @HeidiSavoieMUSE @BirthdayMates @YourTango @MySundayMass @CopelandNetwork

Holidays Calendar enlightens us on some crucial #kazoo history in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “Kazoo” is essentially 'just what the patent-buyer named it when he registered it,' but he was probably inspired by ancient words that mean |Trumpet (like |Bazooka)---ultimately just Imitative (of the sound one makes with a kazoo ... Brits call them Timmy Talkers, French call them mirlitons (or maybe it's mirlitoni ... you know how the French do ...) #Kazoos

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

This Day's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Aquarius ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Alan Alda, Hon. Amy Coney Barrett, St. Thomas Aquinas, Jackson Pollock, Elijah Wood (who ISN'T Tobey Maguire 🤣), Rick Ross, Sarah McLachlan, NSYNC's Joey Fatone, Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, WWE's Sheamus, Mo Rocca, Pastors-Rick Warren & -Creflo Dollar, pianist Arthur Rubenstein

... and many others (most of whom are at the 'Birthday-Cohort' link)---

you might comment telling why we should recognize a special one I missed ...

Or maybe you'd like a reminder of 'where you've seen one of the ones we DO mention'; Ask in your comment!

I haven't gotten my Heart of the Nation calendar (which tells me which celebrations we (Catholics) are celebrating, and which color Vestments the clergy are wearing); so I look at my KCM 2022 Calendar, which tells us that today's day to read Exodus 1:1-3-8 & Matthew 20 (if we're sticking to the plan to read the whole Bible in a Year)
