Uncomfortable #Friction between Drivers, Walkers, Bikers/Cyclists & Riders (of Busses, Taxicabs, UBER & LYFT) | @TheLostOgle #Frictional #Affricative #Dentifrice

A fellow forum-member says that "cars are unnecessary," and I make money by 'objecting' (like YOU can MAKE MONEY at the discussion linked through 'that word' below); but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “Friction” (a base-stone of the word "Traffic"\ #Fray #Fret #Friable #Fricative #Frottage) is built on ancient words that mean "to |Rub" (possibly related to words that mean Break, Cut, |Shave).

Maybe in my friend's location, there's not that much 'friction' between automotive-users & pedestrians, but here--in Oklahoma City--most people need a car to get from 'the home area' to 'the work area' or 'the entertainment area' (in "sprawled" cities like OKC, those types of places are 'put in different areas' rather than 'all put together').

To avoid the dangers of being a pedestrian in automotive cities like that, pedestrians often pay for rides in taxicabs or ride-services like UBER or LYFT or maybe the bus-service (still slightly limited in area).
