How the @SupergirlStaff should #BringBackSupergirl ... no, not "Bring Back" exactly; but maybe #NextGen-ing @TheCWSupergirl, putting her in a #Vicarious Role

Sorta like they did with Bruce Wayne in BATMAN BEYOND (I'm guessing ... I only caught enough of that to get the basic 'there's a new BATMAN, with the old BATMAN as his mentor'-idea).

I think they'll tell you where Supergirl ended-up on the page linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “Vicarious (\ #Vicariously)” is built on ancient words that mean "to Bend, to Wind" (I've always heard #LivingVicariously as an elder finding fulfillment when a student does as well as- or better than-the teacher, but see there's also definitions like the 'Taking the Punishment for another" of #VicariousAtonement or the "Misplaced Bodily Function"-meaning).

Yes, Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) was Supergirl the whole time ... not really

Starting off with the SPOILER: Kara Zor-El (or is it Karazor El?) is the editor-in-chief of CatCo Magazine.

Before the ending reveal (where Cat Grant reveals to the world what she always suspected and had figured out even before she took her sabbatical) that Kara Danvers was in fact Supergirl (a name that Cat herself demanded be used on the Kryptonian, even though Kara herself suggested "Superwoman"),

Supergirl had revealed that 'allll the people have the power they need to be the best version of themselves they can ...' etc., and she was getting a little anxious---"needing" to go out and be a superhero, but having to hold herself back and watch as people took care of their little problems with the help of people who were already there.

(An addiction elder Kara might have to deal with, as she quit "cold turkey" with hardly any time to cool down.)

The point is that 'Supergirl's Next Chapter' will have her leaning on the 'Using the Power of The Press to show people How Staying True to The Truth can serve as a Shield against every attack and a Lance that pierces through every barrier'; I see her assuming the role of Perry White (the editor of Clark Kent's Daily Planet) and frequently sending her "reporters" in to uncover the truth about ...

 idea for a possible villain,
or we could start with the few
ideas that come to my mind ...

And The Commentator could be a 'Twist Villain' (a lot like Lex was---starting out well-meaning, but corrupted by power ... and then redeemed by grace ... or not, etc.)
