Let Me Tell You Why these Media-Presentations @HakimJok3 called #Torrents | #Torrent, I've heard of #BitTorrent ... #Torrential? #Torrentially?
Hakim Jok shares all sorts of Torrents in #BestNewPosts linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)
The word “Torrent” is built on ancient words that mean ... seemingly the exact opposite of what the word means now---its current 'base-sense' is "a |Rapid, |Roaring, |Rushing Stream," but that's an extension (somehow) of Burning, |Boiling, |Parching, Hot, |Inflamed (to |Dry).
Maybe those two sense seems so close because a dry, desolate landscape makes any healthy stream seem like 'an Amazon River!'
