#Neighboring Prospectors Needed for Help Building a My Klondike-expeditions' Homebase @Vizor_Games @Plarium | @getFANDOM #WontYouBeMyNeighbor? #Neighbor #Neighborhood #NeighborhoodWatch
The Klondike T.L.E. FANDOM explains a little bit about #Neighbors in a report linked through 'that word' below; I'll 'fill out the details' below the subscribe-bar, but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)
The word “Neighbors (\ #Neighbored #Neighborly #Neighbour #GoodNeighbor)” is built on ancient words that mean "|Near (or Nigh) |Dweller (see 'to Be, Exist, Grow')."
Tho you arrive wanting to find your lost father; you find that you need to cut-or-dig out all the many resources of the Blue Peaks Valley. But some of the formations are too much for you to handle alone, and many of them need to be manufactured into material you can us; so you need neighbors you can hire to work for you!
When you first get there, you already have a couple neighbors (Silent Shadow & Dull Echo), and there are a couple simple ways to get more neighbors:
- Clicking the Neighbors-button on your Klondike-toolbar, you can
- open the Search tab to find players whom you can ASK to be your neighbor, or
- open the Request tab to find players who are asking to be your neighbor.
They say that 'the hiring-price' of each player depends on "how many times they have been hired" (I don't know if that count is 'for all time' or 'reset every "so often"') ... I don't think 'the amount they charge' makes them "a better worker" (other than--obviously--that "more money" buys you "more of their time working for you")---if you hire them to make (for instance) a bag of flour in the Bakery, it will take 10 minutes to do it NO MATTER WHO YOU HIRE.
The main reason you want to hire neighbors is 'because you can then go to their worksites and--besides the free digging you can do on ALL your neighbors' sites (whether you hire them or not)--you can also 1) take most of the eggs-in-nests you see lying around there (if your neighbor doesn't have a dog protecting the nests), 2) take most of the 'hides' (treasures held beneath 'formations' they personally clear) they haven't emptied yet (I'm not sure if dogs or fences (or something) protect those),
