The #Rundowns - @Scientology's version of Christianity's 'Sacraments' | @CarolineLetkem1 @Wikipedia, their recycle-bin #Wikibin @LearnReligions @Ecosia @Listverse @VillageVoice @TB_Times

What I show here is 'the group of words' that couch "that word" (below hyperlinked to Wikipedia's explanation of Scientology's use of the term) into your vocabulary ... deeper meanings that 'firm the foundations' upon which our lexicon stands ...

The word |Rundowns| ( #Rundown)” (in |Scientology, a |Series of |Steps which are Auditing-actions & -processes designed to Handle a |Specific |Aspect of a |Case & -which have a |Known |End Phenomena; in |Baseball, something else) is built of the words Run + Down (also a word for "list of entries-and-odds in a horse-race" & a general slang sense of Summary, Account, List of Information or Facts).

I can't remember if 'Sacraments' is the word "all Christianity" uses. I know Catholicism calls them "the Seven Sacraments" (Baptism, Penance (Confession), Eucharist (Communion), Chrismation (Confirmation), Matrimony (Wedding of a Marriage), Holy Orders (Becoming a Priest/Deacon), Anointing of the Sick (usually before a Funeral ... though I've gone through Anointing-of-the-Sick without a funeral)).

I say that; because people see the sacraments' names, and think I'm listing seven 'occasional events' Catholics go through. But no; each of those 'occasional events' require several hours' training & preparation beforehand---and that's what Scientology's rundowns are (probably

(... I can't find any 'open reference-material' that tells "why they call them 'rundowns'"---unless you look at Wikipedia's description that says one of the 'rundowns' is "actually jogging until you've gotten rid of the 'reactive mind' regarding some condition."

The Wikipedia-page lists 13 of Scientology's rundowns:
  • Cause Resurgence
running--at your own pace--around a circular track until "you have a realization that you're in control of your own body & mind."
  • Clear Certainty
when a pre-clear becomes CLEAR with the cognition that "I am mocking up my own reactive mind, & I'm not going to do that any more" and their Case Supervisor declares them 'at a "validated and rehabilitated" state' (though maybe 'declare' is an iffy term to use there, as ex-Scientologists call it "being declared" when they get put on the PTS/SP lists)
  • EST Repair
Some Scientologists were former members of an organization known as Erhard Seminars Training---a group that Scientology judged as 'damaging to its members psyche,' so they decided that former EST-ers needed to be de-programmed
  • False Purpose (FPRD)
a rundown that detects "evil purposes or -intentions," when Scientologists submit to a long-long series of audits until they are verified to be "free of evil intentions" (Sea Org staff is often sent to the Rehabilitation Project Force (RPF) to "correct themselves)
  • Introspection
    handling mental- or psychotic breakdown
  • Livingness Repair (a.k.a. Life Repair)
a Mission of the church uses this Rundown to isolate and address the major area that's causing difficulty in an individual's life
  • Primary
word-clearing & Study Tech that make the student Super-Literate ... Word-clearing---finding each word (even little ones like "of," "at," "to," etc.) in a dictionary & using it in speech ... that's sorta what I've been doing here!
  • PTS (Potential Trouble Source)
run on Scientologists who've been designated PTS or SP (Suppressive Person) ... also run on Scientologists (especially Sea Org staff) who fall ill---a tenet of Scientology is that its principles make you immune to everything, so 'any member who gets sick' must be a PTS or "out-Ethic"
  • Purification
a detoxification program using saunas, vitamins and consuming oils (deemed excessive by medical standards)
  • South African
a special set of steps meant for South Africans, whom LRH deemed to be "the one impossible people to train in the entire world"
  • Super Power
we're told it's super-secret, but it sounds basically like 'a strenuous exercise regimen'
  • Vital Information
a rundown to increase one's ability & willingness to 'relay information' (to brief, instruct, train and/or supervise others.
    • includes an Allergy/Asthma Rundown---based on LRH's theory that Allergies & Asthma are psychosomatic ... ... I know they're real (overreactions of a complicated immune-system), but---there's something there; starting with |Placebo ...
  • Wants Handled
in which the preclear decides what to get rid of in their life---the somatic, intention, terminal, condition or doingness that's troubling them the most

There are probably a few other Rundowns---one that comes to mind (mentioned on The Bridge ... possibly described in its margins, I forget) is The Sunshine® Rundown ...

I do a search-or-two for 'the rest of the Scientology Rundowns,' and find
Searching through those for any Rundowns Wikipedia missed, starting with:
  • Drug
  • clearing drug-induced charges that feed the reactive mind (and keep 'wrong perceptions' in one's brain)
  • Sunshine
a |Locational the person does on their own
  • Happiness
    ?????
  • L Rundowns (I'll list these rundowns' steps and only link to them if they make sense)
    • L9 (-S Continue List Assessment)
    • L10 - a collection of very ordinary Scientology processes (sets of auditing-questions or -of questions you need to find the answers-to) - Flow 0, Flow 3, 2D, 2D-2, G-0, G-1, G-2, G-3, Considerations, Method 6 Assessment & Nouns, MEST & Life, Motivators, Program Notes, Omissions, Overt List, Program Assessment
    • L11 - rundown that removes all the barriers between 'how you are now' and the super-powered Super Thetan you are supposed to be (first discovered by- & used on-people who went insane during the auditing-process, which LRH then applied to EVERYONE) - Theory, New Viewpoint Program, 'R Factor' ('clearing' the word Justification, when one might discover 'what "R" stands for 😏), Result, New Viewpoint Rundown
    • L12 - Step Six Identity-Assessment, Identities Assessment (done in the same way as step six, I imagine), Extroversion, Repair Assessment, Program, Steps
