Professor @DaveExplains #FlatEarthers' #Top10 BAD #Arguments | #Argue #Arguing #Argues #Argued #Argumentation #Argumentative

'That word' (below-hyperlinked to Professor Dave's explanation of Flat-Earthers' arguments' falsity) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

The word “Arguments” is built on ancient words that mean White, to Shine (to Make Clear) (see "to |Prattle, |Prate, |Enlighten, make a Plea, make |Bright, |Oppose, Dispute, Contend").

The Top Ten Bad Arguments (which Professor Dave counters in the video linked above) are:
  1. You point to the need for Gravity, and they deny it with "Things fall down because of Density & Buoyancy."
  2. "I shouldn't be able to see this thing (because '8 inches-per-(mile-squared)' ... a figure from Flat-Earth Bible Zetetic Astronomy), but I do!" ... I'm still not sure what that formula means (I think it's something like 'for every mile-away, 8 inches of an object should disappear beneath the horizon'), but it's not right because the globe's surface-curve is not a parabola. Professor gives us the ACTUAL formula.
  3. "Water doesn't curve; Water finds its own level." - blatantly false
  4. "How can our atmosphere be right next to the vacuum of space?"
  5. "How can water stick to a spinning ball?"
  6. "Moonlight is cold." ... I'm not sure what this has to do with Global- vs. Flat-Earth
  7. "Rivers can't flow uphill." ... reminds me of the Ent claiming he likes walking South because he feels like he's walking downhill
  8. "The Earth is closer to the Sun in the Winter."
  9. "You follow the religion of Scientism!" ... true, but only because people totally forget what "Scientism" actually would be---people think it would be 'believing what the Scientists have written before (taking their written observations as "immutable law")'; what it would actually be is 'basing your beliefs on your own observations of the results of repeatable experiments.'
  10. "You Globalists have all been indoctrinated." ... funny that that's 'what all Flat-Earthers say'
