Why are @Vermints CALLED #Vermints?

I usually have an ALTOID after dinner (an 'after-dinner mint'); but the store was out of them, so I picked up some VerMints instead.

The main difference? all the 'special diet'-checkboxes they fill (Certified Gluten-Free (GF), Non-GMO Certified, Vegan, Totally Nut-Free, KSA Kosher, Certified "Organic" by Quality Assurance International*)

Why do they call them VerMints? 'That name' (below-hyperlinked to their explanation of the name) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

The name |Vermints| is a compound of the Mint & the Latin #Ver
The word “Ver” means True (think of |Very, |Verily).

Interesting that their website comments on how 'true' a mint they are–how they come from nature and only nature–because their packaging carries this text:
It is said that a mythical mintman appeared in a field of organic peppermint carrying a scroll with the double-secret formula for the freshest mint out there. Unfortunately, the mintman's memory is not what it used to be; but lucky for you, we were taking notes!

*the 'Quality Assurance International CERTIFIED ORGANIC' is written so small, I had to go to the Amazon page (SELLING VerMints) to find out what the label said!
