Is Church #Fading from #ActualReality to #VirtualReality? maybe #Transtioning is a better way to put it | a shift highlighted by #ImportantAnnouncement (from #KCM @CopelandNetwork, reg: @TBN), by my viewing of @OKCWestminster & @StLukesOKC

'Those words' (below-hyperlinked to ... maybe something, later) are built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

The word “Fading” is built on a blending of ancient words that mean |Silly, Tasteless & ancient words that mean Flat, Flavorless
#Fade #Faded #Fades #Fader
The word “Transitioning” is built on ancient words that mean "to Go- or Cross Over" (see |Transient).
#Transition #Transitional #Transitions #Transitioned #Transitioner

I found this letter in the cover of a recent issue of (Believer's Voice of) VICTORY:

Important Announcement from the Desk of Kenneth Copeland
To My Partners and Friends,
For 40 years, Kenneth Copeland Ministries has been privileged and honored to partner with TBN in preaching the gospel to the world! From the beginning of our friendship, the Crouch family has been a blessing to our ministry, and to Gloria and me personally
How grateful we are for TBN founders Dr. Paul and Jan Crouch! as well as for Matt and Laurie Crouch who took the helm after Paul & Jan went to be with The LORD.
Recently, Matt let me know they believe The LORD is taking TBN in a new direction, and our daily program Believer's Voice of Victory (BVOV) isn't really a fit for their future programming. Therefor–as of Oct. 2, 2020–the BVOV broadcast will no longer air on TBN.
This is a big change, but one we are ready for because we understand change. In fact, the word of The LORD for 2020 is "New Visions, Manifest Power and GREAT Change"! And it's coming to pass in full force here at Kenneth Copeland Ministries.
We are exploding with vision. We are experiencing His power, and we have embraced the greatest changes we have ever seen. Change is a good thing because everything that is alive changes in order to grow.
Growth at KCM means you can find our daily broadcast on more major media outlets than ever before. So if you've been watching the BVOV broadcast on TBN, it will be easy to find us on one of our many other media locations. Go to kcm.org/watchbvov to explore all the ways you can watch.
Even though change is happening all around us, some things remain the same. The BVOV broadcasts will continue to bring you The WORD of God to build your faith, so you can live in the abundance of love, health, prosperity and fellowship Jesus has provided.
Again we bless TBN and all they set their hands to do for The Kingdom, and we remain their faithful family in the faith of The LORD Jesus!
JESUS IS LORD!

This is similar to (when I was in college, going through the 'home-church' phase of my church-hopping—a time-period when I would regard 'Bible-study at friends' houses' to be my "going to church") 'deciding that "the same Bible-study that's usually at one friend's house" is now usually going to be at another friend's house.'

That brings me to my current phase of 'church-hopping': At-first because 'it's too much of a bother to put on "nice clothes" and travel "all the way into town" (oh, I don't live "out in the sticks"; but Oklahoma City is a bit too 'sprawled out' for me to live in a nice house that's not inconveniently-distant-from-social-gathering-places),' and then doubled by the isolationism brought-on by the recent pandemic, I've been "watching church-broadcasts" instead of "convening with congregations."

... oh, not on 'one of the church-channels' (TBN, Daystar, EWTN ... where I'm sure I could find plenty of church-services everyday); but rather just one 'paid announcement on a local television-station' per week—it had been a broadcast of the weekly-readings & sermon from Westminster Presbyterian Church, but those broadcasts have been replaced (on the TV-schedule ... you can still hear WPC on the telephone (see the link)) with St. Luke's United Methodist Church's ministers delivering a sermon partially-inspired by Scripture (and partially-inspired by popular-media etc.)
But my point here: Perception of Religion (both my perception & possibly the general public's perception) is changing—my 'Christianity' (or 'being Saved' or 'being a Believer') doesn't depend so much on "whether I attend church."
