'That word' (below-hyperlinked to a post about 'anatomy near the throat') is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

The word “Low” is built on words that mean “to |Lie |Down, |Lay” (Sounds that are |Quiet or Deeply |Pitched, Humble in |Rank, Un|dignified, Not High in Character, |Coarse, |Vulgar, |Dejected, |Dispirited, |Near the |Sea-|Shore (in Geography, especially the Low Countries "|Holland, |Belgium & |Luxembourg"), Low German is so called because it was spoken in the Lower |Elevations of Old Germany;
(... has essentially the same meaning as "|Abject" & "Mean," but used with respect to |Nature, Condition or |Rank (when Mean applied to Conduct & Abject to Spirit)).
The word “High” is built on the same Foundations as words that mean “|Hill, |Mound” (the Marijuana- and other |Drugs-meaning–Euphoric, |Exhilarated–originally applied to Alcohol (Happy Drunkenness?), "the High Road" referred to the |Passage "Most-Frequented or -Important" (not necessarily the most-elevated), "Proud, |Haughty, Arrogant, |Supercilious" (reflected in High-Handed & High Horse);
(... "Grave, Serious, |Severe" (High |Treason, High Crimes & Misdemeanors), |Advanced Studies (High School), "|Full, |Total, Complete" (High Time, High |Noon), |Exalted & Powerful (High & |Mighty ... originally describing Princes, then -other |Royalty), "High & |Dry" described |Beached |Things (usually |Ships)).

Or am I looking at that wrong (or 'wrongly' 🤓)? Tell
