Went to @SWPickers' #Bluegrass-Festival feat. @TheFamilySowell (et al.) ... What Makes It "Bluegrass"?
'That word' is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which the our lexicon stands ...
The word “Bluegrass” is built on “Blue Grass Boys (a Country-Music Band named for 'Blue' Grass (Poa Praetensis) characteristic of Kentucky).”
So what makes it "Bluegrass?" I ask Microsoft Bing, and 'it' (or 'WiseGeek.com') tells me that it's the Country, Folk, Jazz, & Blues-tunes, relying heavily on stringed-instruments, influenced by Scottish & Irish folk-music (coming together as 'distinctly American).
I probably heard several bands at the Southwest Pickers festival, but I only distinctly remember two (mostly because they were young—and were the kind of musicians I dreamt of being when I was their age)—The Family Sowell & Chords of Grace.
Or maybe I'm looking at it wrong—that's one reason

alone": "Because the man'll think he's right until someone else shows
