The word “Fatigue” is built on “Driving to the Point of Breakdown” ( |Sufficent to |Crack, -|Split; to set in Motion, |Do, Perform, |Draw out or -forth ... the sense referring to the Military-Outfit is short for Fatigue-Dress—|Clothes |Worn while a Soldier performs their ' |Extra Duties' (Fatigues)).
