And I was a PEAK-student. That links to a more-"official description" of the program, but the way I remember it ... I 'tested' well (on the national standard tests we had to take every year in public schools—the ITBS, after the CST), scoring in the upper percentile. So once a week I 'rode the short bus' to 'a special school' where ... wait a minute, is that making us PEAK-students sound like "special kids who rode the short bus to school?"

(I was also 'special' after my Traumatic Brain Injury, 'riding the short-bus' to school (since it was equipped with the wheelchair-lift).
