We talk about that at the 'Debate'-hyperlink (well, maybe not the 'repeatedly charging at an immovable object'-factor--Stephen Colbert reminded us of 'the definition of "insanity": doing the same thing over-and-over, and expecting a different result--but the very-few pieces of information we took away from it);

But that word carries power (in our minds) because of 'the words we know' to-which it is connected.
The word “Debate” is built on Down, Completely + to Beat (or Batter)” (to |Deliberate the Pros-&-Cons of).
