Ribeye Declared Oklahoma's Official State #Steak by @GovStitt (beating the other 12 #Steaks @PopOptiq lists)
Incidentally, Gov. Stitt made that declaration just as Oklahoma kicked-off Beef Month.
The word “Steak” is built on words that mean “to |Stick; |Pointed” (something (usually |Meat) stuck and |Roasted on a |Spit).
Besides Oklahoma's most-highly-esteemed Ribeye, there's the Tenderloin (Filet Mignon), the T-Bone, the New York Strip, the Hanger Steak, the Tri-Tip, the Prime Rib, the Flat Iron, the Wagyn Steak, the Top Sirloin, the Skirt Steak, and the Brisket.
PopOptiq (besides listing the 13 kinds of steak) tells us that the steak can be ordered Blue Rare, Rare, Medium Rare, Medium, Medium Well, or Well Done.
