What If It's More-Important to Know What (@ColbertLATESHOW tells us) Happens in the #Meanwhile? #Mean #While
Stephen Colbert (in many of the videos at the 'Meanwhile'-link below) uses "meanwhile" to refer to 'news events that happen at the same time as the main events he discusses in his monologues.' And that's kinda what I was talking-about when I wrote "in the Meanwhile," although 'that phrase' usually means "after one important event, waiting for a big future event."
The word “Meanwhile” is built on ancient words that mean “Mean (Middle, Intermediate) + While (to |Rest, be |Quiet, have Leisure, |Stay, Linger).”
