@MikeWingerII (and MOST Christians, including @CopelandNetwork) Worship the Wrong Deity ... possibly 'exactly the one they think they are "resisting"'

One of Mike Winger's arguments against-Progressive Christianity, -Word of Faith ministries & -the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints (et al., I'm sure) is that their "Word of God" is ongoing (in addition to the ancient Scriptures that 'standard Christianity' clings to).

All his other arguments against them are valid, but ... I am taken to #Exodus3fourteen - 'the first time God told us his name'---Moses asked 'who should I tell them sent me to them?' and the burning bush replied (in most translations), 'I AM who I AM; tell them I AM has sent you to them.'


אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר (אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה) ... I've also seen that answer translated 'I WILL BE what I WILL BE'---the point being (in my view, anyway) that God is not subject to cause-and-effect. His past actions only tell us 'who he is today' insofar as his past actions actually affect 'the future of the past.'

So the ancient Scriptures (that most Christians cling to) are good to learn to see 'how God was' (good to the people who did his will). But we shouldn't take 'his gifts to his ancient people' as they were at the time he gave them ...
The word “אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה (’eh·yeh)” is Hebrew that can mean "to Fall Out, Come to Pass, Become, Be."

This comes up because a) I've been watching Pastor Winger's multi-hour 'debunking's of those 'alt-faiths' (the ones above and the Prosperity Gospel championed by televangelists like Kenneth Copeland---pertinent because) b) I'm looking at 'the last page of KCM's 2022 COVENANT PARTNER REPORT,' which reads:
2023 WORD FROM THE LORD

This Is 2023
"2023 will be as exciting as it can be.
It will be the time when you will say it and the devil will flee.
All around you will begin to rise up, like great mountains of victory.
And you will stand strong and say,
'God is on my side in 2023 because He is BLESSING me.'"
